Liminal Orbits

Pole dancing became one of the biggest anchors in my life after years of intense internal transformation, motherhood, spiritual seeking, isolation, and identity shifts. I started pole in Portland after moving there during a period where I was rebuilding myself emotionally, physically, spiritually, and creatively. What began as curiosity slowly became a grounding force, a confidence practice, an artistic outlet, and eventually a form of emotional alchemy.

I’m currently around an intermediate/Level 3 pole dancer at Bliss Pole studio.
My training has included tricks, spin pole, freestyle, heels, choreo, conditioning, and performance work. I’ve done showcases before, including a 2023 piece choreographed by my teacher Amberlee, who helped build my foundational confidence and movement vocabulary. More recently I performed in the Bliss showcase in May 2026 and have been documenting the emotional, physical, and spiritual side of my pole journey as part of my broader creative identity under “Liminal Orbits.”

My relationship to pole is deeply tied to embodiment, emotional expression, sensuality, stamina-building, nervous system regulation, confidence, creativity, and reclaiming parts of myself that were suppressed for years. Pole helped me reconnect with joy, play, desire, softness, performance, music, nostalgia, and emotional honesty. I often describe dance as a kind of “light language” or emotional channeling through movement and music.

Pole is the altar,

I am it’s offering.
